Is D-Aspartic Acid worth taking?
D-Aspartic Acid stimulates LH and testosterone production at the pituitary and testicular level. Works best in men with suboptimal testosterone or those in a hormonal trough. Results in already well-trained men with normal testosterone are less consistent. Use at 2 to 3 g daily, cycle it, and combine with zinc and vitamin D3. High doses above 3 g may backfire by upregulating aromatase. Less is more here.

What D-Aspartic Acid does in the body
Testosterone production, luteinizing hormone stimulation, male fertility support, and libido. D-Aspartic Acid is an amino acid that acts on the hypothalamus and pituitary gland to stimulate the release of luteinizing hormone (LH), which in turn signals the testes to produce testosterone. It also acts directly on testicular Leydig cells to enhance testosterone synthesis. This makes DAA one of the few natural compounds that works upstream of testosterone production.

What the research actually shows
Early trials in infertile men and men with low baseline testosterone showed meaningful increases in LH and testosterone, in some cases 30 to 40% within 12 days. Subsequent trials in resistance-trained men with normal testosterone showed inconsistent results, with some finding no benefit and others finding a temporary decrease at higher doses.

D-Aspartic Acid occurs naturally in small amounts in meat, eggs, and dairy but at concentrations far below therapeutic supplemental doses.
